James Ma, Ph.D.
Founder and President
James founded PepTech Corp. in 1994 with a vision to provide top quality chemistry products and services to the pharma industry, and has grown the company without any outside funding. Previously he had worked in the biotech industry for several years on drug discovery research. He received his Ph.D. in chemistry from University of Louisville and was awarded the Dean’s Citation for Excellence.
Xiaowen Sun, Ph.D.
General Manager
Xiaowen oversees R&D operations at PepTech, including custom synthesis and process development. He got his Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from Lanzhou University and has over 14 years of academic and industry experience working in France, UK and US. He investigated the total synthesis of insect antifeedant azadirachtin at the Scripps Research Institute under the guidance of Prof. K. C. Nicolaou. Prior to joining PepTech, he conducted medicinal chemistry research at Abraxis BioScience Inc. for five years.
